Whether you’re looking for wedding, party or conference venues in Cambridge, the Wellcome Genome Campus is the perfect setting with 100-acre parkland bordering the river Cam set within the Hinxton Hall Estate. Blending stunning contemporary architecture with the existing grade II*listed country house of Hinxton Hall, this world-class Conference Centre in the historical city of Cambridge provides an exceptional space in an idyllic setting.
The 17-year old Conference Centre opened its new state-of-the-art facilities in October 2015. An impressive elliptical roof of steel and glass now covers 1600m² of exhibition and breakout spaces, ultra-modern, yet still in elegant harmony with the eighteenth-century Hinxton Hall which forms the other half of the Conference Centre complex.
Facilities include a 300 seat auditorium with all the latest audio visual capabilities, superb new exhibition area with extensive poster display provision, 7 distinctive meeting rooms with flexible set-up options for groups of 12 to 130 people, 300-seat restaurant with views across the lawns offering excellent food and extensive outdoor space for activities such as team building events and BBQs.
Are you planning a team building away day in Cambridge? The site also boasts 136 modern and comfortable bedrooms for residential events and complimentary parking for 180 cars.
The accommodation facilities comprise modern and comfortable single, twin, double, triple and disabled-access rooms, all set within a quiet and tranquil environment.

Guests staying at the Conference Centre can also take full advantage of the residents’ bar in Hinxton Hall, which offers a selection of beers, wines, cocktails as well as bar snacks perfect for late arrivals.
Breakfast is included with all room bookings.
All rooms can be booked under contract as part of your event, or for individual stays a maximum of 10 can be booked through Reception. A standard 24-hour cancellation policy will apply.
During the day the delegates enjoyed the vibrant, light, bright and phenomenal new space of the Conference Centre at the Wellcome Genome Campus. Two years in the making, ON Helix was the first event to take place there after the refurbishment – and it didn’t disappoint. Gone were the old cloisters and mini-garden area and in came the vaulted ceiling, immaculate white and red backdrop and fantastic networking space. The aluminium artwork is breath taking.
