Venue Details

Elegant. Unique. Magical. Memorable. No other venue with the cachet of Osborne House – Queen Victoria’s palace-by-the-sea – can offer both the superb coastal location and facilities for those seeking a trully prestigious setting for their event.

History

The House was built in 1845 for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a country retreat. The Royal couple escaped to Osborne regularly and were there on 24 May each year to celebrate the Queen’s birthday and almost always for the Prince’s birthday on 26 August. After Prince Albert’s untimely death in 1861, the distraught Queen retreated to Osborne for several months, but thereafter avoided being there on these poignant dates. Nonetheless, the Queen spent much of other parts of the year at Osborne up to her death in 1901.

Location

This prestigious venue is located close to East Cowes with easy access when travelling from the mainland & car ferry services. With outstanding catering provided by digby trout, fully equipped kitchens and unique spaces, we have the perfect ingredients for any event.

A beautiful venue that will add glamour to any function, Osborne House is the perfect choice for events on the South Coast & the Isle of Wight.
