The River and Rowing Museum

Location

The River and Rowing Museum is set in beautiful meadows adjacent to the River Thames in the picturesque town of Henley on Thames.

The combination of oak-clad upper walls and large glass windows offer wonderful views over Henley’s water meadows and river. The galleries, which celebrate the history of rowing, and conference rooms are designed to create a spectacular feeling of light and air and give a wonderful atmosphere to every type of event.

The Museum has two dedicated function rooms plus opportunities for Gallery use. The Thames room is a stunning meeting room suitable for parties, wedding receptions, lectures or conferences with a seating capacity of 100.

The Henley Room boardroom is available for up to eight people. The Schwarzenbach International Rowing Gallery is perfect for evening receptions and dinners.

Additionally The Launch and The Source rooms, within the Arbib Education Centre can be made available for community or corporate use.

Created by architect David Chipperfield, the Museum is a stunning modern structure and a unique venue.
